On October 21, we announced our acquisition of nfrastructure Technologies, a provider of core-to-edge technical and managed services.
By acquiring nfrastructure, we’re extending our robust solutions and services capabilities. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zones, nfrastructure will expand globally and nationally, significantly enhancing its product fulfillment and technical capabilities.

Tech Elite 250 list recognizes IT solution providers for deep technical expertise and premier certifications
On March 29, CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, named Zones to its 2016 Tech Elite 250 list. This annual list honors an exclusive group of North American IT solution providers that have earned the highest number of advanced technical certifications from leading technology vendors.

Unified solution offers on-demand cloud provisioning and automation
On August 10, at the Zones CustomerConnect business conference, Zones debuted its Cloud Marketplace, an offering that gives organizations the ability to purchase and provision the cloud resources they require quickly and easily, with simplified administration, management and 24×7 post-sales support.
Zones Cloud Marketplace is a cloud-specific portal that extends Zones’ automated procurement site, ZonesConnect. The Cloud Marketplace is unique, in that customers can provision their cloud solutions and workloads in real time, enabling the self-service and self-direction needed to rapidly scale their organizations’ cloud workloads up or down.

Zones recently announced details of major investments designed to support the company’s focus on the Microsoft platform. As an authorized Microsoft Licensing Solutions Partner (LSP) and a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), Zones is well-equipped to provide comprehensive solutions that drive customer success through the innovative use of Microsoft technologies.
To continue driving the transformation to cloud-enabled solutions, Zones has made significant investments in dedicated Microsoft selling and services resources. A sales organization devoted to Microsoft solutions leading with Office 365 (O365) and Azure has been formed at Zones, and is supported by technical architects and system engineers providing extended services to enhance Microsoft solution offerings. On Friday, March 13, Zones was honored with the Class IV Supplier of the Year Award, presented by the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) at its 2015 Northwest Mountain MSDC Awards Dinner.
The Northwest Mountain MSDC Supplier of the Year awards recognize minority business enterprises (MBEs) that have shown outstanding performance and commitment to minority business development over the past year. Zones was nominated to receive this honor by Seattle Public Utilities, a long-time Zones customer.

On March 11, Zones clients from across the country arrived in Seattle for two days of education and networking at our Q1 CustomerConnect conference.
Focused exclusively on the Internet of Things, the program featured visionaries who are leading key IoT initiatives at companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, EMC and Oracle, as well as business unit leaders from HP, VMware, Kingston Technology, CA Technologies, and Symantec, who detailed their companies’ approaches to – and solutions for – our increasingly connected world.
New hires to collaborate with partner community to accelerate software solution sales and expand cloud practice
On February 16, Zones welcomed two technology industry veterans to our Partner and Product Marketing organization. Jon Allen has assumed the role of vice president of Cloud, and Todd Leeson joins the organization as vice president of Software. In their respective new roles, Allen and Leeson will help define the strategy for two key Zones target markets: cloud computing and software solutions.

On February 10, Zones announced its authorization as a Platinum Reseller of the Samsung KNOX security platform for the Samsung Galaxy line of mobile devices.
