Unified solution offers on-demand cloud provisioning and automation
On August 10, at the Zones CustomerConnect business conference, Zones debuted its Cloud Marketplace, an offering that gives organizations the ability to purchase and provision the cloud resources they require quickly and easily, with simplified administration, management and 24×7 post-sales support.
Zones Cloud Marketplace is a cloud-specific portal that extends Zones’ automated procurement site, ZonesConnect. The Cloud Marketplace is unique, in that customers can provision their cloud solutions and workloads in real time, enabling the self-service and self-direction needed to rapidly scale their organizations’ cloud workloads up or down.

On May 20, Zones was honored with the 2015 Microsoft Supplier Program (MSP) Excellence Award for Supplier Diversity.
Microsoft’s MSP Excellence Awards recognize superior performance, exemplary service and innovation by suppliers. Award winners were measured on excellence in a number of areas, including quality, value, service and innovation. Winners were announced today during the 13th Annual MSP Summit on Microsoft’s main corporate campus in Redmond, Wash., (view Microsoft’s press release announcing the award recipients here).
Last week, members of Zones’ executive staff were in Montreal, attending Cisco’s biggest and highest-profile partner event of the year, the 2015 Cisco Partner Summit.

Exploring practical applications of the Internet of Things
On March 11, Zones clients from across the country arrived in Seattle for two days of education and networking at our Q1 CustomerConnect conference.
Focused exclusively on the Internet of Things, the program featured visionaries who are leading key IoT initiatives at companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, EMC and Oracle, as well as business unit leaders from HP, VMware, Kingston Technology, CA Technologies, and Symantec, who detailed their companies’ approaches to – and solutions for – our increasingly connected world.
New hires to collaborate with partner community to accelerate software solution sales and expand cloud practice
On February 16, Zones welcomed two technology industry veterans to our Partner and Product Marketing organization. Jon Allen has assumed the role of vice president of Cloud, and Todd Leeson joins the organization as vice president of Software. In their respective new roles, Allen and Leeson will help define the strategy for two key Zones target markets: cloud computing and software solutions.

Zones and Samsung delivering secure solutions for the mobile enterprise workforce
On February 10, Zones announced its authorization as a Platinum Reseller of the Samsung KNOX security platform for the Samsung Galaxy line of mobile devices.
Samsung KNOX is a multi-layered security technology that provides leading device security, data and application protection technology to enable a secure and productive workspace for mobile professionals. Since its introduction in September 2013, the KNOX platform has found wide acceptance around the world.
As a Platinum Reseller, Zones is now authorized to provide the KNOX platform to organizations across a broad array of industries that rely on mobile devices in their corporate IT infrastructures.

Recently, Exelon Corporation presented Zones with the energy company’s Financial Discipline and Savings Partner award, during its annual supplier conference in Chicago.
Headquartered in Chicago, Exelon is one the nation’s leading energy providers, with approximately $24.9 billion in annual revenues.
National account executive Matt Camden, who leads the Exelon account, accepted the award with Executive Vice President, Enterprise Sales Tom Ducatelli. The award recognized Zones for delivering market-leading quantifiable cost savings, successful negotiation best practices with OEMs, and implementation of new cost-saving processes in addition to near flawless levels of execution in our sales and support services.
